Photography is a great hobby that can become your business. But if you are a beginner photographer, then you have to spend time and effort on self-promotion, otherwise no one will know about you. There are many ways of promotion: from free photo shoots to creating and promoting your own website.
Instructions
Step 1
Your potential clients will judge the quality of your photos by your portfolio. Therefore, your first task is to create such a portfolio. To do this, organize several free photo sessions - for example, for your friends. You can also take pictures for free or for a nominal fee at someone's wedding or corporate party.
Step 2
If those you have photographed are satisfied with the quality of your work, then you can assume that you have already found clients. They will certainly tell their friends about you, because photographers are most often looked for by acquaintance. Of course, some people may be intimidated by the fact that you are just getting started. However, your services are likely to be cheaper than the work of a professional. For many, this is an argument, since the services of photographers are not cheap.
Step 3
Create a photoblog. You can upload into it both successful photo sessions (of course, with the permission of the person who was photographed), or just photos taken by you spontaneously. Your blog will surely gain a lot of readers, since many people like to watch photos in blogs more than to read. Some readers may well become your clients.
Step 4
You should also organize groups on social networks in which you communicate. The more such groups and networks there are, the better. Try to invite new users to the group every day, especially paying attention to those who most often participate in photo sessions (as a rule, these are girls 16-25 years old). Also invite those who have the status of "engaged", "have a boyfriend / girlfriend." It is possible that one of these people is thinking about a wedding. Do not forget to upload new work to the group and communicate with users.
Step 5
If you have funds, you can create and promote your site by contacting professionals in this field. It may cost a lot (in the region of 50,000 rubles), but even more people will learn about you. On the site, it is worth making a guestbook or other form for feedback. Your prices should be prominently displayed on the site, since it is low prices that will help draw attention to a novice photographer.
