For persons living in the Far North or equivalent territories, Russian legislation provides for a wage supplement that grows in accordance with the length of service. The list of regions of the Far North and localities equated to it was approved by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the USSR dated November 10, 1967 N 1029. The regional coefficient to wages is applied from the first day of work in difficult conditions.
It is necessary
- - employment history;
- - documents proving the identity and age of a person;
- - accounting calculation in accordance with the place of residence, seniority and age of the employee.
Instructions
Step 1
People who live in the Far North and equivalent territories are entitled to a wage supplement. It is calculated in accordance with the length of service of a person, his salary, age (for young people under 30, the northern allowance is somewhat different) and the region itself where he works.
Step 2
The calculation starts from the first day of a person's work in the Far North. So in Chukotka, in the Severo-Evensky region (Magadan region), the Aleutian region (Kamchatka region), on the islands of the Arctic Ocean and its seas (the exception is the White Sea), as well as in the Koryak Autonomous Okrug, the northern surcharge is charged in the amount of 10% of salaries for the first 6 months of work.
Step 3
The markup is increased every 6 months by 10% until it reaches 100%. In other regions of the Far North, it is calculated according to the same scheme, but when it reaches 60%, the increase is no longer every 6 months, but every year. The established maximum for such territories is 80% of the employee's salary increase. In areas equated to the conditions of the Far North, the northern allowance in the first year of work is 10%, then increases every year by 10% until it reaches 50% of the salary.
Step 4
For persons under 30 who have lived in the Far North for at least a year, the allowance is charged at 20% after the first six months and increases every 6 months by 20% until it reaches 60%, then it increases by 20% per year. For young people living and working in areas equated to the Far North - 10% for every 6 months. Young people who have lived in the Far North and equated localities for at least 5 years are entitled to a northern allowance from the first day of work.
Step 5
When calculating the northern allowance, you need to clarify the type of terrain. In total, there are 4 types of terrain in the Russian Federation that are eligible for the northern allowance at the rate of 100, 80, 50 and 30 percent of the salary. For example, the northern allowance of 80% to wages is valid in the regions of the Far North, and in areas equated to it, it is slightly less.
