Work is the performance of any action aimed at the development and welfare of civilization. If we talk about construction, then for the correct organization of production it is necessary to calculate the amount of work to be done. That will later be included in the final cost for the consumer. How can this be done?

Step 1
Calculate the amount of construction work. This is the largest volume to date. Check out the project materials and place them in a convenient order for a quick search. Divide the documentation into groups - separately for the underground and above-ground parts of the work.
Step 2
Calculate the amount of work in a specific order: first, count for the openings in the outer walls, then for the inner ones, then the work of the walls, foundation, all earthworks, floors, all floors, the work of the roof, stairs, balconies, various canopies and also the porch. Start calculating the work of interior and exterior decoration.
Step 3
Use the specifications for the various materials used: reinforced concrete, wood, electrical, etc. In other words, determine the consumption rate in the appropriate units: cubic meters, square meters, running meters, etc.
Step 4
Calculate each job based on the market value of one unit. For example, painting a square meter or laying a running meter of cable. Consider double and triple layering when working with finishing materials.
Step 5
Calculate the volume of construction work using special computer programs, for example, CADWizard, which will make an estimate clearly and accurately. Select the drawing of interest, select it, and the program will calculate the entire amount of work in this area. Set the real scale, indicating only the size of one element of the drawing, for example, a wall.
Step 6
Calculate the amount of mechanical work not related to construction. Everything is simpler here. Choose some area of work (volume) as a basis. Take it as a unit, for example, loading and unloading one machine, the number of pasted leaflets, making one part, etc. Count the units where the work is completely done.
Step 7
Determine the amount of mental work. First, set goals clearly, in as much detail as possible. Then, at the end of the allotted time, go through all the items whose tasks have been completed. Determine as a percentage the number of work performed to the tasks set. Please note that some items may be more time consuming and therefore more time consuming.
