Instructions
Step 1
Choose the branch of Sberbank of the Russian Federation that is most convenient for you. In some cases, the options may be limited to the list offered to you by the organization through which you are expecting payment (for example, the employment center). In this case, you will have to be content with those on the list that you will be given in the appropriate state structure.
Evaluate which branch will be more convenient for you to visit, taking into account your employment and hours of work, whether there are usually many people there, whether there is an electronic queue, etc., and make a decision on the situation.
Step 2
Contact the operator of the selected branch during business hours. Tell us about your desire to have a passbook and the purpose for which you are doing it. For example, to receive benefits for one reason or another. Based on this information, the teller will offer you the best banking service.
The bank does not take a commission for maintaining such accounts, on the contrary, it calculates a percentage, albeit a symbolic one, on the balance on them at the end of the year.
Step 3
Read and sign all the required fields, fill out the documents that the teller will give you. Give him the completed kit along with your passport.
Step 4
A prerequisite for opening a savings bank is the minimum contribution to the current account linked to it. It is equal to 10 rubles, if you wish, you can deposit more - as much as you see fit.
State the amount of the minimum contribution you would like to make.
In most cases, the teller will accept the money, but in some branches they can send you to the cashier. In this case, the teller must make a note on the first installment in the savings book and give it to you. You give the cashier your passport, passbook and money for the first installment. Upon receipt of the passbook, take the bank details of the branch from the operator. They will be needed if the book is open for social benefits. Your account number is indicated on the cover page of your passbook. Usually, the relevant government agency will require you to copy it or the original, which they will make a copy of themselves.
