Often financiers and economists are involved in economy issues. But this topic is relevant for ordinary consumers as well. Everyone has probably heard the saying "savings - the same profit". Indeed, if you spend a smaller amount of money on the purchase of something, then they will "hang" as a plus on the balance sheet.
Instructions
Step 1
To begin with, you need to know what exactly the economy is. This is the difference between the two possible cost options.
Let's say you can buy any product in a store near your place of residence, bring it home with your own hands. Such a product costs, for example, 5,000 rubles. However, thanks to diligent searches on the Internet, you were lucky enough to find exactly the same product in an online store, where it costs 4,500 rubles.
At the first glance at the situation, your savings can be 5000-4500 = 500 rubles. However, all the nuances must be taken into account. Let's say the delivery of this product to your door will cost you 350 rubles. Thus, the savings will be less: 500-350 = 150 rubles.
Step 2
Many online stores offer a pick-up service, but this is far from always convenient, unless the warehouse of such a retailer is located near your home or place of work. So, let's say that you go to the pickup point by car and spend 40 minutes of time and 3 liters of gasoline on it. The material side of the issue of such self-delivery will be equal to the cost of gasoline (for example - 5 * 27 = 135 rubles) and your time.
Step 3
Each person has his own attitude to his personal time. For those who are accustomed to piecework, the cost of an hour of time can reach up to 1000 rubles per hour. Accordingly, the option of self-pickup would absolutely not suit them in order to save money in this situation. Suppose that your personal time is priceless, and, accordingly, we will not clothe it in a material shell. Then, based on the previous assumptions, your savings will be 500-135 = 365 rubles.
Step 4
A more convenient way to calculate savings is to first add up all costs for each cost option, and then calculate the difference between these options. Those. for our example, the calculation will look like this:
Option 1 (retail store) = 5,000 rubles.
Option 2 (delivery from the online store) = 4500 + 350 = 4850 rubles.
Option 3 (self-pickup from the online store) = 4500 + 135 = 4635 rubles.
The savings compared to the first option in the second case will be 5000-4850 = 150 rubles, and in the third case 5000-4635 = 365 rubles.
