Gamification or gamification (from the English. Gamification, game - a game) came to us from the West not so long ago. Its essence is to bring elements of a computer game into various spheres of human interaction and increase the level of satisfaction with their activities.

Gamification is expressed in the involvement of people to solve various problems / tasks and can be used not only in any programs and online resources, for example, training, but also in work / study. For the performance of certain actions, participants are given bonuses, game currency, which can be spent, for example, to exclude one exam question, if we are talking about education, etc.

The very process of performing actions is most often built like a quest - a certain chain of tasks. Incentives for players can be both for achieving specific goals until the end of the "game", and simply for completing the task, due to the quest, after its completion.

In general, gamification makes it possible, in a more or less relaxed atmosphere, to achieve goals in the area where it was applied. However, it should be borne in mind that any innovation is perceived by people in different ways. Gamification can work well for students, but fail completely among the older population. To prevent this from happening, the organizers of activities using this approach need to understand what they want to achieve by this, and clearly explain to the players the rules of the game, as well as its purpose.

Gamification is now widespread in commercial organizations abroad, its goal is to attract and retain customers. For the most part, simple routine actions do not cause any positive feelings in consumers. To increase emotional involvement, organizations come up with various interactive tasks, encourage the interaction of customers and their sites with social networks, thereby increasing the consumption of goods and services.
