History with "Vneshprombank"

In early 2016, Vneshprombank's license was revoked due to inconsistencies in reports of as much as 210 billion rubles. The event caused a resonance. This bank was popular with the Russian elite. Thus, Dmitry Kozak and Sergei Shoigu, as well as the Russian Olympic Committee, placed deposits in it.

Soon, the court arrested its president and, in combination, Bedzhamov's sister, Larisa Markus. He himself hastily flew to Monaco, and subsequently stopped communicating with investigators. Soon Bedzhamov, as chairman of the board, was charged with major fraud and put on the international wanted list. The investigation considered that he, together with other members of the board, organized a scheme to steal money from the bank's accounts. A few months later Bedzhamov was arrested in Monaco, but he was soon released and refused to hand over to Russia. Then Bedzhamov hastened to fly to London, ostensibly for treatment, where he is currently.

Bankruptcy

Georgy Bedzhamov is the guarantor and pledger for the mortgage loan of the sister and the defendant in the case of the record embezzlement from Vneshprombank Larisa Markus. The woman owes VTB more than 320 million rubles. Since she is currently serving a sentence behind bars and, in addition, declared bankrupt, Bedzhamov is obliged to pay the bills. He is still on the wanted list. The interests of the fugitive in various instances were represented by his lawyer.

Several ships passed. One of them decided to put up for auction the property that the fugitive businessman had provided as collateral for his sister's loan. As a result, Bedzhamov was declared bankrupt in July 2018. This was done in order to initiate the sale of his assets. So, at the auction were presented three sites, with a total area of about 13 thousand "squares". All of them are located in the Moscow region. Not everything is so smooth with the sale of Bedzhamov's other assets, since they are not located in Russia.
