Beauty salon, in fact, is not a new word for the inhabitants of our country. Everyone remembers the Soviet hairdressing salons, where you could get a haircut, festive styling, adjust the shape of your eyebrows and update your manicure. Now, as before, the same basic services can be found in beauty salons, and the masters are just as welcoming and talkative. However, there are also innovations: modern salons offer their clients the services of a beauty parlor, solarium and even spa services.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all, decide for yourself what type of salon you are planning to open: a salon offering basic services, a middle class salon (hairdressing services, a manicure and beauty parlor, a solarium) and a studio studio (deluxe salon). Then define the range of services that will be offered in your salon.

Step 2

Basic services salon can be described by the phrase "cheap and cheerful": located next to home, convenient working hours, affordable prices. Middle-class salons usually have more qualified personnel who are able to offer clients an individual and creative approach. In beauty studios you can get exclusive author services and a wide range of body and face care services based on professional elite cosmetics.

Step 3

To open a salon of a basic type, you will need at least one million rubles, including expenses for repairs, purchase of equipment, consumables and advertising. Accordingly, a salon with a higher class will cost much more, this should be taken into account when drawing up a business plan.

Step 4

Having decided on the type of beauty salon, start choosing the right room. Obviously, it is better to open a salon-studio closer to the city center, where the traffic will be higher.

Step 5

Include with the business plan the costs of renovating or refurbishing the premises of the future beauty salon. Please note that the equipment of the salon is regulated by sanitary norms and rules (SNiPs). The minimum footage of the room is 14 square meters for the first workplace and 7 square meters for each next one.

Step 6

Provide the room with a ventilation system, because hairdressing salons are conditionally harmful industries. For the same reasons, the salon should have a shower for the staff.

Step 7

If the beauty salon will be located in a residential building, obtain written permission from all residents of the nearest apartments.

Step 8

Now go shopping for workstation equipment and professional hairdressing supplies. According to the norms, each working master must have at least three changes of work clothes and linen (towels, negligees and napkins). It is advisable to provide all personnel with uniforms - this will create a corporate style and set up the foremen for work.

Step 9

Craftsmen should have all the tools necessary for work: various scissors, sets of combs, a professional hairdryer, hair clippers, electric tongs, diffusers, hair straighteners, etc.

Step 10

Take care of reliable suppliers of materials and tools in advance.

Step 11

Now start looking for beauty salon employees. You cannot do without an administrator, accountant, manicure specialist, beautician and universal hairdressers.

Step 12

So everything is ready to open. Now is the time to advertise the new beauty salon. Use printed advertising (leaflets, announcements), offer discounts and pleasant bonuses to the first visitors. The most successful example of advertising is word of mouth, with the help of which satisfied customers recommend this or that beauty salon to friends and family.
