Many articles have been written about the sale of rare modern coins, but they lack one interesting point - the most common coins with a marriage can be a source of income. Up to 1000 rubles for a small change out of your pocket is real.
Instructions
Step 1
Oddly enough, a factory-defective coin always costs more than the same, but perfect one. The reason lies in the fact that the mints carry out strict quality control, and only small fractions of a percent come out with millions of copies of marriage. And in numismatics, as in everything else, something that is rarely found is highly valued. To sell all these rarities at an adequate price, you should register for an electronic auction.
Step 2
The most common defect is non-stamping of the pattern. The coin looks as if some of the design details have been erased. Such coins are quite common and inexpensive.
Step 3
The reversal of the postmark is slightly less common. Usually the "horizontal" pattern on both sides of the coin is the same, for example, on a 1 ruble coin, the number 1 and the axis of symmetry of the eagle on the opposite side are parallel. If the ruble is vertical, and the eagle on the opposite side is on its side, then this is a reversal of the stamp. The cost of such a marriage depends on the degree of reversal.
Step 4
A rather rare marriage - a split of the stamp. After a while, the stamp, knocking out the pattern on the blanks, begins to break down and a crack occurs. In the metal of the coin, this crack leaves a mark that looks like a hair has stuck to the coin, only it is made of metal.
Step 5
A double blow is even less common - after the coin was minted, it again came under the blow of the stamp. Usually there are coins where one image is a fraction of a millimeter away from the second, as if giving a double outline. Much less common are coins where the stamp drawing on the second blow did not coincide on the sides with the one already inflicted, or where the second blow did not completely catch the coin and the intersection of the drawings formed a crescent.
Step 6
The rarest marriage is an unsuitable blank. For example, 5 kopecks of golden color, which were printed on a blank for 10 kopecks.
