LLC (Limited Liability Company) is one of the most common forms of ownership. Its popularity is based on such an advantage as the choice of the taxation system. The amount of taxes paid depends on her choice.

Currently, there are 4 tax systems in use in Russia:

• OSNO (assigned by default by new individual entrepreneurs and LLCs);

• simplified taxation system (simplified tax);

• UTII (single tax on imputed income);

• Patent tax system.

In order to change the tax system, you need to write and submit an application to the tax office. This is done quite rarely, because first you need to decide what taxes the LLC should pay monthly, quarterly and annually. This circumstance depends on the chosen tax system.

LLC taxes on OSNO

List of taxes that should be calculated and paid:

• Value added (VAT) - 18%, 10%, 0%;

• LLC profit tax - 20%;

• LLC property tax - up to 2.2% (the rate is calculated by each region independently);

• Personal income tax (deducted from employees' salaries)

Also, the list can include insurance contributions, which, although they are called LLC pension taxes, are nevertheless not taxes and, accordingly, are not paid to the tax service.

A feature of this tax is the loss in transactions with individual entrepreneurs or enterprises that do not work with VAT. Such tax is non-refundable.

LLC taxes on the simplified taxation system

The main advantage of the simplified taxation system is that since 2013 the LLC does not pay the following types of taxes on the simplified taxation system:

• At a profit;

• For property;

• For VAT.

Instead, the LLC must pay a single simplified tax, which depends on the preferred taxation object. In addition to the single tax, it is possible to pay transport tax, as well as income tax on employee salaries.

In order for an LLC to be able to work like this, it is necessary to write an application for the STS after the registration of the company or in a specific period.

LLC taxes on UTII

When choosing such a taxation system, the company is exempted from paying income tax, property tax and VAT.

With UTII, a single tax is paid not from the real, but from the imputed one, the income of which is established for each type of activity.

The tax base for calculating UTII is the amount of imputed income, while the UTII rate is 15% of the amount of imputed income.

In addition to the imputed tax, it is necessary to pay income tax on employee benefits and, if necessary, transport tax.

The main choice is divided between the listed three tax systems for LLCs, since the remaining two systems are quite specific. The unified agricultural tax is used only by a limited circle of LLCs, and the patent is intended exclusively for individual entrepreneurs.
