Step 1
Find out if nonprofit status is right for your organization. As its main goal, it should declare any activity that is not related to obtaining material benefits. At the same time, the provision of paid services by this organization may be allowed, but to a limited extent. For example, a charitable organization, created as a non-profit, can conduct auctions in support of any vulnerable segments of the population to obtain working capital.
Step 2
Decide who will lead the organization and hold a future leadership meeting. On it, you will have to form a package of constituent documents of your company - the charter of the organization and the minutes of the meeting that a decision was made to create a new non-profit structure. In the charter, you must regulate the composition of the management of the organization, its name, the possibility of leaving or joining it.
Step 3
Collect the necessary documents for registration. For an individual, a passport will be enough, and if the founder is a legal entity, you will need its registration documents, an extract from the All-Russian Register of Legal Entities, as well as an identity card of the head. Also pay the fee for registering a new legal entity. You can find out the amount and details at the tax authority at your place of residence.
Step 4
Transfer the package of documents to the department of the Ministry of Justice at the place of registration of the organization. You will also need to write an application for registration of a non-profit organization on the spot.
Step 5
Wait until the registration documents are ready and collect them. From now on, your non-profit organization will be considered officially existing.
