Instructions

Step 1

The main causes of fires in bars, restaurants and cafes are most often violations of the rules for the operation of kitchen equipment. Sometimes a fire can occur due to electrical wiring problems. In any case, the staff must be able to correctly and timely respond to the situation. In this regard, it is necessary to have instructions on fire safety measures for each specific room, taking into account its characteristics. Such an instruction is drawn up by the head or responsible for fire safety in accordance with the requirements of Section XVIII of the "Rules for the fire regime in the Russian Federation". A separate instruction should be provided for each production or storage facility.

Step 2

The head of the enterprise is obliged to undergo training in the fire-technical minimum. But employees can be trained in basic fire safety standards through briefing. It can vary in timing and nature. There are introductory, primary, repeated, unscheduled, targeted briefings. Each of them is reflected in a single instruction log, where employees must sign. If the institution operates around the clock, it is necessary to draw up instructions for an overnight stay. In this case, an evacuation plan is made with a photoluminescent coating. If the bar or restaurant is only open during the day, a normal evacuation plan is sufficient. The main thing is to place it in a prominent place.

Step 3

Any premises, including catering premises, must be provided with primary fire extinguishing means. The person responsible for the purchase, repair, safety of fire extinguishers keeps records of their presence in a log of any form. The serial number is applied to the body of the fire extinguisher with white paint. The number, type of fire extinguishers and the rate of their recharging can be determined in accordance with Section XIX of the "Fire Fighting Regulations". Here in Appendix No. 1 there is also a table "Standards for providing facilities with hand-held fire extinguishers".

Step 4

In accordance with Fire Safety Standards 110-03, the premises of restaurants and cafes must be equipped with an automatic fire alarm installation and a fire warning system. Its type depends on the number of visitors. If the room is located in the basement or basement floor, pits must be provided there. They serve to remove smoke and other fire hazards in the event of a fire. In the absence of pits, such rooms should be equipped with a forced smoke exhaust system.

Step 5

The state fire inspector will also check if there is a contract for the maintenance of air ducts of other ventilation systems. Some organizations do this on their own. In this case, it is necessary to have an appropriate order, which will establish the terms of cleaning from the accumulation of deposits of dust and grease. And also the person responsible for the timeliness and correctness of this process.
