The visit of specialists of the State Fire Supervision Service is not always to the liking of the management of the institution, be it an office, a retail outlet or a child care institution. The result of the check is usually a fine, and sometimes doubts arise about the legality of the punishment. There are violations for which a fine cannot be avoided, and there are those when firefighters limit themselves to comments or issue an order to eliminate violations within a certain period of time.

It is necessary

  • - Fire safety rules 01-03 of June 18, 2003 N 313;
  • - SNiP of February 13, 1997 N 21-01-97 "Fire safety of buildings and structures";
  • - fire safety standards according to the profile of the institution;
  • - fire safety instructions;
  • - fire safety briefing log;
  • - a notebook for the fire safety of premises.

Instructions

Step 1

Inspect the premises your institution occupies. Check the condition of the fire exits and escape routes. They shouldn't be cluttered. For sledges in the vestibule of a kindergarten or boxes blocking the escape exit from the store, a fine will certainly be imposed.

Step 2

Check the appearance of the fire alarm sensors. They must be clearly visible, fixed in the places intended for them. Of course, nothing should hang on the sensors. The last rule is periodically violated by kindergarten staff when they attach various hanging decorations to the sensors.

Step 3

See if all the signs are on the premises. An employee appointed by the director should be responsible for the fire safety of each room. The appointment is made out by order. The surname, name and patronymic of the employee must be indicated on the plate with the text “Cabinet No. 2. Responsible for fire safety such and such. Emergency exits and routes to them are marked with special signs. The markings must be clearly visible.

Step 4

Check evacuation plans. If the building is multi-story, the plan should be hung on each floor, next to the fire hydrant. By the way, don't forget to see if the fire hydrant is sealed. If the seal is broken, call the firefighters to check the condition of the hydrant and seal it.

Step 5

See what kind of fire safety documentation you have and in what condition it is. Leaders of organizations sometimes do not pay enough attention to documents, and an unexpected visit from an inspector can lead to serious trouble. You must have a fire safety journal. On the first page, place the instructions with which you want to familiarize employees. The rest of the sheets contain tables that indicate the surname and initials of each employee, year of birth, position, date of briefing and signature. The sheets should be numbered and the magazine stitched. We also need a fire safety notebook, in which the responsible officer puts the date, writes that everything is in order, signs.

Step 6

In buildings where a large crowd of people is expected, as well as in children's and medical institutions, special requirements are imposed on fire safety. So, for example, floors and walls must be finished with non-flammable materials, storage of flammable substances without special conditions, etc. is not allowed. If the institution has not yet replaced the wall covering with a fireproof one, an act is drawn up, which indicates the replacement time.
