The possibilities of withdrawing money from your current account depend on whether a plastic card is tied to it. If it is available, two methods are available: 1) at any ATM; 2) at the bank's cash desk; if there is no card, the only option is to contact the cash desk of your bank.
It is necessary
- 1) plastic card and PIN code when withdrawing money from an ATM;
- 2) passport and fountain pen when withdrawing money at the bank's cash desk;
- 3) if you withdraw money from a plastic card at the bank's cash desk, you may additionally need to present it to the cashier and enter the PIN code on a special device.
Instructions
Step 1
If we have a plastic card of one of the international systems (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Dinners Club, etc.), we have the widest opportunities at our service. You can use your money within the account balance and credit limit, if available, anywhere in the world where there is an ATM. Go to the ATM, insert the card, enter the PIN, select the "Withdraw (or receive) cash" option and enter the required amount within the limits available on the account and the cash withdrawal limit of the ATM.
Step 2
You can also withdraw money from your account at the bank's cash desk. Unlike ATMs, another credit institution is not an assistant here. You will have to contact the branch of your bank. At the same time, at the checkout, including when using a card, a commission may be charged - on average, 1-2% of the amount withdrawn.
Step 3
In some banks, you may need to fill out a special form for withdrawing money before contacting the cashier. But more often it is enough to show the cashier a passport and a plastic card and name the required amount. And then sign the documents offered by the cashier and get the money. When withdrawing cash from the card at the bank's cash desk, a PIN code may be required. His client enters into the device next to the checkout window.
Step 4
If there is no card, there is only a bank account; you can withdraw money from it only at the bank's cash desk. Most credit organizations allow you to do this in any branch or department where there is a cash register. Some - only in the branch where the account was opened, sometimes also in those closest to it.
Step 5
The set of documents that must be presented to the cashier depends on the bank. If clients are issued a document that reflects the movement of money on the account (for example, a savings bank that has been living since Soviet times), it must be presented along with a passport. In other cases, you only need a passport. We go to the cash desk (if necessary, we wait for our turn, live or electronic, depending on the department), give the documents to the cashier, name the amount, sign and receive the money.
Step 6
Most banks give customers the ability to manage their accounts through internet banking. In this case, if the card is not linked to the account, you can use Internet banking to transfer money from it to your card in the same or another bank and withdraw cash from it.
