The commission trading scheme came to us from the distant past, remaining effective under a variety of political regimes and economic systems, and some entrepreneurs still prefer it, willing to be content with a modest but quite stable income.
It is necessary
- - certificate of registration of individual entrepreneurs;
- - permission from the fire inspection and Rospotrebnadzor (SES);
- - registered with the tax cash register;
- - a room with an area of several tens of square meters;
- - shop equipment (cabinets, shelves, table, hangers, mannequins, racks, mirrors);
- - the form of the contract with the consignor.
Instructions
Step 1
Register as a sole proprietor by mentioning commission trading in the list of the activities you intend to engage in. Register with the tax inspectorate, get a cash register and your own SP stamp (it must be registered with the corresponding body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs). Get also a preliminary "consent" for your activities of the fire inspection and Rospotrebnadzor, which will be interested in the terms of trade in your store in the future, after its equipment.
Step 2
Find a room suitable for selling commission items and accepting them - you will need 30-40 square meters of space in such a building, which the owner of a store that requires a more presentable design will not be able to use for his own purposes. Consider options with semi-basements, rooms that can only be accessed from the yard, and not visible from a busy street. In the near future, your customers will be attracted by word of mouth and the opportunity to profitably attach unnecessary things, but a store of a different format could not fit here, and therefore rental rates are an order of magnitude lower.
Step 3
Get yourself a simple set of commercial equipment - used furniture will do, including a table for receiving things and maintaining documents, hung on wheels, several mannequins, stands and a mirror for a fitting room. It is not difficult to find such a kit; you can buy all these items at very low prices. If you show a little imagination, you can even try to design your thrift store in a retro style, using interior items typical of the Soviet era.
Step 4
Establish a system for accepting used items on a commission and draw up a standard form of agreement between the store and the consignor (handing over the items). Decide for how long the item will be exhibited in your store, when it will be discounted and when it will be returned to the owner (with a small percentage deducted in favor of the store). You also need to learn (already along the way) to assess the liquidity of a particular thing and immediately refuse such items that no one will ever want to buy.
