Every year, every Russian who owns a vehicle is obliged to pay transport tax. It is calculated based on the category of the vehicle and the power of its engine. If you received a tax notice for the first time and do not know how and where to pay transport tax, use the instructions.
It is necessary
receipt for payment of tax
Instructions
Step 1
To pay the tax, you need to receive a receipt, which will indicate its amount. A notice of payment of transport tax is sent to all car owners by registered mail once a year. Since the vehicle tax is paid to the regional budget, the timing of its payment, as well as the tax rates are determined by regional legislation. Accordingly, in order to find out the deadline for payment, you need to look for the law with the name "On transport tax", adopted in the region where you are registered. In general, you must pay vehicle tax no later than 30 days from the moment you received the notification.
Step 2
It also happens that the deadline for paying the tax is already approaching, or even completely out, but there is no notification. It takes a long time to find out whether the post office or the tax office is to blame for such a situation. To avoid a fine, contact the tax office at your place of residence with a request to receive a receipt. If you want to save time, you can find out about your tax arrears on the Internet, on the website of the Federal Tax Service nalog.ru. Going to the section "Personal account of the taxpayer" and entering your TIN, you will receive all the necessary information. You can also print a receipt from there.
Step 3
After receiving the receipt, check all the details. If everything is correct, all that remains is to pay for it. This can be done in several ways. First, by going to the bank and giving the receipt to the teller. Secondly, through the terminals where you pay for utilities (for example, in Sberbank). Thirdly, via the Internet, by filling in the necessary details in the form of a payment order (this method is possible if your bank provides the Client-Bank service).
