Have you decided to open a shop in one of the villages in your region? No matter what you are going to trade, it is important to know that any business in the village is associated with specific difficulties, which are quite within the power of every entrepreneur who cares not only about his own benefit, but also about the needs of the villager.

Step 1
Assess the opportunities for your business. To do this, study the market for goods in the area of your region where you plan to open a store. Consider whether your business will only cooperate with centralized suppliers, or whether you plan to deal with the procurement of goods from the local population (cooperative trade). So, for example, you can buy agricultural products from local residents for further processing (for example, goat milk, which is in great demand among the townspeople). In this case, you will need to conclude contracts with processing enterprises and, if possible, ensure uninterrupted supply of products.
Step 2
Select a site for your future store. Buy a plot with supplied communications, since in rural areas there may simply not be enough capacity for your connection if you buy a plot without gas, water and electricity.
Step 3
You can build a store from scratch, or you can conclude an agreement with the local administration for the lease of some empty premises, of which, unfortunately, there are now many in Russian villages. Do not occupy an empty house without permission. Firstly, it can also be privately owned, and secondly, the reaction of local residents to your encroachments can be unpredictable, even if you were born and raised in this village.
Step 4
If you have taken a site for further construction, be sure to contact the cadastral service to amend the USRR and draw up a new cadastral passport. After construction, contact the BTI and receive an act on the technical inventory of the premises. Get positive opinions in the sanitary and epidemiological supervision and fire department (you can issue it even at the stage of design and construction of a house).
Step 5
You can also organize a mobile shop for the village. This is quite a lucrative venture, especially during the summer season, when many townspeople come to rest in the countryside. Offer them and the local population those goods that can only be bought in a large settlement. To do this, you need to issue an individual entrepreneur and a sanitary book (in the case of the sale of grocery products) and rent or buy a cargo van.
