Shooting technique in basketball determines the level of the player and the success of the entire team as a whole. Therefore, it is very important to properly work out this element in training in order to accurately hit in games. What needs to be done for this?
Instructions
Step 1
Sign up for a professional basketball club. Understand that it is impossible to become a great player without a good mentor and without a resource base. So take the time and find one near your place of residence. This will be the first and most important step.
Step 2
Train your legs. As soon as you become part of the new team, you will have general and special training sessions. In the second case, you will first be taught how to properly stay on your feet when throwing the ball. You must always be on bent legs and sharply straighten up and with a jump (or without it) make a throw. The leading foot should be slightly in front and the other in the back. Also, the legs can be on the same line.
Step 3
Watch the position of your hands. Take the ball in your hands, placing your right palm on top of it, and slightly supporting it with your left from below. You can swap your hands and see how you can do it more conveniently. They should be bent at the elbows and hold the ball in front of the head or slightly lower. When jumping, straighten your elbows and direct the ball with a light movement into the basket. When passing the ball, keep it close to your chest and make sharper, more accurate straight throws.
Step 4
Analyze where your eyes are looking when throwing. When you want to throw a hanging ball, direct your gaze to the square under the hoop. Try to get into it. Then the ball will fly into the net, hitting this square. The second way is to aim directly at the top of the net rim. Then the ball will fly in without bouncing.
Step 5
Hone all your skills in general when throwing from a place. Now that you know the whole theoretical part, start practicing. Throw the ball from all positions, from all angles. Try to work more from afar and, of course, from under the net. Do this in training games, during and before training as a warm-up. The more you throw the ball, the faster you will learn to do it. Further, already consolidate all your skills in the official games. Never stop developing.
