Take a good look at the possibilities offered by the program. Modern 1C has everything you need for proper accounting. You just need to use the analytics capabilities built into the program. Changing the account manually can lead to extremely unpleasant consequences. For example, in the case of the dismissal of the chief accountant.

If you, nevertheless, decided to change the account number by all means, do it manually according to the following scheme.

Do you realize that you made a mistake and did not get the desired result? Return everything to its original position. Turn on the Auto numbering function, and the program will automatically assign a number to the newly created document.

Want to know how Auto Numbering works? Pretty simple. If the program specifies a numeric number, the maximum number among the existing ones is selected and increased by one unit. In the case of a text number, the program behaves as follows. Selects a part of a number specified using digits and increases it by one unit, taking into account the presence of zeros. After this part of the operation has been successfully completed, the program returns the previously removed text. If there was a prefix in it before automatic processing of the number, the program returns it back.
Step 7
You will have a much better understanding of the program if you learn how the automatic assignment of a new number algorithm works. You know that the length of the number is unchanged. This is a condition of the program, and it is important. Why? If you change the number manually, for example, not 00017, but 17, the program will automatically increase the number with the shortest length. As a result, instead of 00018, you get 18. This is an invalid error!
Step 8
Correct the situation. Find the document with the wrong number and make the necessary corrections. And yet, the most correct solution would be to prohibit manual editing of the number.

Check the "Prevent Editing" checkbox.
