After purchasing a watch, for some reason you may want to return it. The legislation gives consumers such a right, however, for this, a number of conditions must be met.
Instructions
Step 1
Find out if you are legally able to return a specific watch. If you just don't like the watch, you can take it to the store within fourteen days from the date of purchase. However, this does not apply to those watches for which the warranty repair card was issued. Such a piece of furniture and accessory will only be replaced in the event of a malfunction.
Step 2
Contact the store where you bought the watch. Bring your receipt and, if available, your warranty card and original packaging. Explain to the seller why you want to return a previously purchased item. With your watch broken before the warranty expires, you will most likely be sent to a repair shop, where your purchase must be accepted for warranty service.
Step 3
Come to the workshop you specified and give them the watch. The repair should be free of charge to you if the warranty has not yet expired. If your watch is deemed not to be repaired, and not through your fault, but due to an error in assembly or storage, return with it to the store and demand a refund.
Step 4
If the seller refuses to grant your request for a refund, contact his management - the manager or director of the store. In some cases, people with more authority will be able to solve your problem faster.
Step 5
If the store still does not agree to return your money, contact the consumer protection society. There you can get legal advice and, if necessary, make a complaint about the store to the regulatory authorities.
Step 6
If a significant amount of money is involved, you can go to court. Please note, however, that such proceedings may take a long time. In addition, additional costs will be required from you in the form of an examination of the watch, demonstrating that it is not you, but the manufacturer or the seller, who are to blame for their malfunction.
