Step 1

Write a statement addressed to the head of the tax office asking for a refund of the erroneously transferred amount or part of it. Attach a copy of your passport to your application. To receive money to a valid account with Sberbank, attach a photocopy of the first sheet of your savings book in the package of documents. If you are a trustee acting on behalf of the company, attach a copy of the power of attorney certified by a notary to the package of documents.

Art. 333.40 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation regulates the return of funds that were paid by a payment order or a receipt from Sberbank. You will receive your money in the event that more was paid than provided for by the current legislation, paid for actions that are not subject to a state fee, or you mistakenly transferred the amount for actions that you did not need. Use one of these phrases in the text of your application as the basis for refunding your receipt.

According to clause 3 of article 333.40 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation, you can write an application for the return of erroneously transferred money within three years from the date of payment of this amount. They must return it to you no later than one month from the date of submission of the application.
