Sometimes it happens that a mortgage loan becomes an unbearable burden for the borrower. The reasons for this situation can be very different: job loss, lower wages, unforeseen expenses, and so on. The solution to the problem may be to contact the bank with a request to obtain an extension of the mortgage.
Instructions
Step 1
Contact the creditor bank. Consult about the possibility of deferring a mortgage loan. Typically, banks are restructuring mortgages. It is the determination of the optimal amount of monthly payments that the borrower is able to make, taking into account the current financial situation. Restructuring draws up for a year, and all payments go primarily to repay interest on the loan. Thus, the deferral increases the credit lines.
Step 2
Find out your chances of getting a loan grace period. The bank has the right to refuse to restructure the borrower if his monthly income exceeds the subsistence level in the given region. The borrower must not own additional living space, savings and other property that can be used to repay the mortgage loan to the bank.
Step 3
Apply to your bank asking for a grace period for your mortgage. Indicate the reasons for this appeal, your income and the amount of possible monthly payments to be paid. Submit a certificate of income in the form of 2-NDFL, if there was a decrease in wages. In case of dismissal, obtain a relevant certificate from the employment service and make a copy of the work book. If you have retired, then submit a certificate from the branch of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation on the amount of pension payments.
Step 4
Wait for the bank to make a decision. If the answer is yes, you will need to sign an additional agreement to the mortgage agreement, which will indicate the amount of monthly payments, which cannot be less than 500 rubles per month. Restructuring payments must be made without delay and in full.
