Living well and being financially independent are not the same thing. Financial independence does not always imply a luxurious life, but it does mean earning money on your own, and not getting it at someone else's expense, the absence of a shortage of funds, and most importantly - confidence in the future.
Instructions
Step 1
Never rely on only one source of income. The point of view is fundamentally wrong that it is enough either to have a permanent job, or only to freelance. It is best to practice both activities alternately. To freelance, whatever it may be, devote your free time - weekends, morning, evening, and if it is related to typing - and the time that you spend on the way to and from work (if you use public transport). But directly at the workplace, do freelance only with the permission of your superiors, even if you have a free minute. With a piece-rate system of remuneration, do not be lazy - try to do more during the working day, but in no case at the expense of quality.
Step 2
Think about how your free time is allocated on the weekend. Is there a place on your schedule for aimless pastime - playing computer games, chats, watching TV series? Decisively mark all this and replace it with the same freelance. See the internet in a new way - not as a source of endless entertainment, but as a working tool. The use of non-distracting radio and television broadcasts, preferably of an educational nature, as a background is not prohibited. However, try not to reduce the amount of time allotted for an interesting hobby, housework, parenting, self-education, sports. Also, do not overwork, in no case make an end in itself out of earnings. Remember that money is called differently means because it is not an end in itself.
Step 3
Remember that there is not enough money in the family where they earn a lot, but in the one where they spend in moderation. Together with your family, think about what expenses are necessary and what you can do without. Buy good-quality items that have a long service life, even if they are more expensive. If you don’t want to overpay, buy a second-hand item, but also of good quality.
Step 4
Don't make job loss a tragedy. If you have been laid off or if one of the types of freelancing has ceased to generate income, and you cannot find the same job as before, do not be upset. Pickiness is useless here - agree, if required, for an activity that does not quite agree with your preferences - provided, of course, that you have the knowledge and skills required to practice it. Do not be afraid of the need for retraining, tell yourself in advance that you will definitely cope with it, and then it will be so. And soon you will have a stable job again.
Step 5
Share, even if at first glance it seems like there is nothing to share. Spend some of your earnings helping those who really need it, but not those who pretend to be. The words that the hand of the giver will not become scarce are by no means empty - you can confirm them yourself in your own practice.
