Monthly allowance for caring for a child up to 1.5 years old can be received by a mother, father or other relative who actually takes care of the baby. The process for preparing this guide is as follows.
Instructions
Step 1
Contact the accounting department of the organization (for working citizens) no later than 6 months before the child turns two years old. Write a claim for benefits. Attach to the application a copy of the child's birth or adoption certificate, if necessary, a certificate of the amount of maternity benefits paid earlier, a copy of your passport or other identity document. Payments will be made monthly on the day wages are issued at the enterprise.
Step 2
Apply for a child care allowance with the social welfare authorities at your place of residence if you are unemployed and do not receive unemployment benefits. Write a statement and attach the following documents to it:
- a copy of your passport;
- birth certificate of the child;
- a certificate from the child's place of residence about his joint residence with the parent;
- documents confirming information about the family's income for the three previous months;
- a certified extract from the work book about the last place of work;
- a certificate of the amount of maternity benefits paid earlier;
- a certificate from the employment service about non-payment of unemployment benefits (for mothers who were dismissed in connection with the liquidation of an enterprise during parental leave).
Step 3
Provide a certificate (for working and non-working citizens) from the place of work (or from the social security authorities) from the second parent, stating that he does not use the specified leave and does not receive childcare benefits.
Step 4
Open an account (if it is absent) in one of the branches of Sberbank, to which a monthly allowance will be transferred, issued through the social security authorities.
Step 5
Contact the accounting department of the educational institution (for full-time students) and write an application for child care benefits. Payments will be made regardless of whether the child's mother received a scholarship or not. If the term of study is over, and the baby has not yet turned one and a half years old, the allowance will be paid by the social protection authorities.
