According to the legislation of the Russian Federation, a lawyer's office can only be registered by a person who has a higher legal education, at least two years of professional experience in the specialty and has received the status of a lawyer.
Instructions
Step 1
To obtain the status of a lawyer, take a qualification examination, which is organized by the council of the Federal Chamber of Lawyers. The level of professional training of the applicant is checked on the basis of his written answers to questions, as well as during the oral interview. Successful passing of the qualification exam is followed by an oath. In case of failure, the examination procedure can be repeated only after a year.
Step 2
After assigning you the status of a lawyer, receive a certificate. The qualification commission will notify the territorial body of justice of the examination result within seven days. The latter will enter information about you as a lawyer in the regional register and issue a certificate confirming your status and containing the last name, first name, patronymic, registration number in the register.
Step 3
Having received the certificate, within 6 months notify the council of the bar association about the establishment of the cabinet. The notification is made in writing in free form and sent by registered mail. It contains information about the founder (full name, registration number), the location of the office with the exact mailing address (including its name) and the way the council communicated with the lawyer.
