According to the Labor Code, work on holidays is paid double. For different workers (those who work for piecework, hourly pay, or for a fixed monthly salary), payments for work on holidays are calculated differently.

Instructions

Step 1

The easiest way to calculate payments for work on holidays is for those who work for a time wage. For example, a promoter distributes leaflets for 300 rubles per hour. The employer asks him to go to work on May 1 and work 8 hours. Accordingly, the promoter is now supposed to pay not 300, but 600 rubles per hour. We multiply 600 by 8 and we get how much the employer should pay the promoter for the work on May 1 - 4800 rubles.

Step 2

Consider an example of calculating wages on weekends for pieceworkers. They are paid for their work at double rates. Let's say a mechanic has assembled 8 bicycles on a day off, for assembling one he usually (on weekdays) receives 500 rubles. Now he will receive a double rate for one assembled bike - 1000 rubles. Multiply by 8 and get 8,000 rubles.

Step 3

For employees with a fixed monthly salary, payments for labor on holidays are calculated according to the following formula:

the monthly salary is divided by the number of working days in the month and multiplied by 2.

This will be wages for one holiday.

Let's say a contract manager receives 40,000 rubles a month. He was asked to go to work on June 12th. There are 22 working days in June.

Divide 40,000 by 22 - we get paid for one day of the contract manager's work (1,818 rubles).

We multiply 1818 by 2, we get his remuneration on June 12 (3636 rubles).

Accordingly, at the end of the month he is paid 40,000 and 3,636 rubles, a total of 43,636 rubles.

Step 4

It should be remembered that the employee has the right to take time off for the day off. Then work on the day off is paid in the same way as on any other. Accordingly, the employee receives his regular monthly salary. No charges are made for the day off.
