Many pensioners will be able to receive an increased January pension as early as December 2019, and this depends directly on the delivery organization.
It has long been no secret that in January 2020, the payment to citizens who have reached retirement age, that is, the pension, will be increased. It should be noted that only the insurance part of the pension will be increased, and then only for non-working pensioners. The increase will be 6, 6% to the existing payment. The social pension will be indexed from April 1, 2020, and the monthly incomes from February 1. As for working citizens, their size will not change. Indexation for such pensioners will take place only in August 2020, the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation will be able to calculate the accumulated experience and recalculate for 2019.
The pension always arrives at the same time. They receive it in various ways: some wait for a postman or a social worker to go home all day, others form queues at banks, and still others just sit and wait until the pension "falls" on a bank card. All the stereotypes of receiving payments are broken in January of each year and the schedule for receiving gets confused. Therefore, many residents of the country's retirement age will be able to receive their increased pension as early as December 2019. Those pensioners who receive their payments to the cards of Sberbank of Russia, VTB Bank, Vozrozhdenie, Sovcombank and a number of other banks will be able to exercise this right. As for receiving through the Russian Post, the schedule will also change.
According to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, the New Year holidays will last in 2020 from January 01 to 08. On these holidays, most of the country's organizations will not work. But this does not mean at all that pensioners, whose payments fall on the first days of the month, will not receive them on time. The Pension Fund of the Russian Federation posted on its official website information that payments will be made in December this year.
So, starting from December 25, post offices began to be financed, and already from December 27, money goes to the accounts of Sberbank of the Russian Federation and other banks. Already from December 30, pensions will be credited to cards for those who receive payments through banks. This is due to the fact that banks are given time to transfer the funds received from the Pension Fund to the accounts of their clients. That is why payments will start no earlier than December 30-31.
From January 03, 2020, pensioners will be able to receive their pension at the post offices of the Russian Post. The post offices will work according to a special schedule and therefore those who receive pensions in this way will not receive payments in December 2019. In many cities, the Russian Post's work schedules already exist and you can familiarize yourself with them by going to the nearest branch.
In each case, there is no need to worry. The government has done its best to ensure that all pensioners can receive their payments on time and not be left without money for the New Year holidays.
