Payments for housing and communal services have long become a sore subject of reality. It seemed that could be easier than paying the received utility bill? However, practice shows that without knowing the procedure for calculating the final figures in the invoice, you run the risk of paying a completely different amount for which you used the services. One of the most difficult indicators to calculate from the consumer's point of view is the electricity tariff.
Instructions
Step 1
The calculation of the payment amount is based on the basic electricity tariffs in a particular region. Basic tariffs, in turn, are calculated and set by government bodies such as the Federal Tariff Service and regional tariff regulators. Each region has its own base tariff rates, which are reviewed on a regular basis.
Step 2
The calculation of the electricity tariff is also influenced by the calculation method, which can be single-tariff (a single base tariff for electricity around the clock) and two-tariff (they separate day and night electricity consumption with a reduced cost of night consumption). Calculation methods also depend on the region, so in a number of constituent entities of the Russian Federation only one-rate calculation method is presented, in others there is a possibility of choosing a more convenient option.
Step 3
The third parameter affecting the calculation of the electricity tariff is the presence of a preferential threshold. It is provided for each person registered in the apartment (for example, if in your region the preferential threshold is 50 kW, and 3 people are registered in the apartment, then 150 kW per month you will pay at a reduced cost, and the rest at the basic rate).
Step 4
Thus, for the correct calculation, find out the calculation methodology, base rates and preferential thresholds in force in your region. You can get this information both in the regional housing and communal services authorities and on the website of the Federal Tariff Service.
Step 5
Next, calculate the amount payable based on the information received: • for a single-rate calculation, multiply the number of people registered in the apartment by the preferential threshold and the base tariff for it, then subtract the preferential kilowatts from the electricity consumption according to the meter readings and multiply by the base rate of the base tariff, add up the received figures and you will receive a calculation of the electricity tariff • in case of two-tariff calculation, the preferential threshold is divided in half between night and day hours (for example, if it is 50 kW, then 25 of them will be night and 25 day). Further, by analogy with the previous calculation, calculate the preferential amount and the amount at the standard rate with the only difference that the calculation is carried out separately for the day and night periods, and then summed up.
