How to create your own cafe and make money on it?

The very first question is, of course, the choice of location. A good place can be found anywhere, including a residential area. Unfortunately, we still have unpopular cafes and bars near houses that could be opened in the basements and on the first floors of the same residential buildings or administrative buildings in the courtyards. However, the option of opening a cafe near the metro station, as a rule, should be successful. It is only worth making sure that your cafe offers takeaway food and drinks to customers, because it is very convenient to drop into it in the morning before work and hastily eat a bun or take a glass of espresso with you. In the evening, clients will come to your house for dinner - many people, especially young people living alone, prefer not to cook at home themselves, but to have a snack in a cafe.

The second question is equipment. Cafes are different. If you specialize mainly in fast food, then the cost of equipment will be relatively small, 10-12 thousand dollars. More funds will be needed to equip all the necessary "generalist" cafes. The value can be any. Also, add the tables and the cost of the room design. Do not save too much on design, or rather, let it be inexpensive, but original. Either way, your cafe should have a face. The client is not interested in going "just to a cafe". Your cafe should be something different from others and be cozy.

It is also important what you are betting on. If you have a coffee shop, then your main product is coffee. If you have a cafe-bar, then alcohol. Accordingly, a snack is needed for alcohol, something for beer, something for cocktails. Coffee needs pastries and sandwiches. The menu should be harmonious, because it is, in fact, the basis of the cafe. Any creative design loses its value for a client who has nothing to eat beer with.

The most unpleasant thing is, of course, the papers. You will have to obtain the status of an individual entrepreneur or create an LLC, then get permission to open a cafe from the authorities, a license to trade in alcohol, and approval from a sanitary and epidemiological station. Naturally, a lease agreement for the premises is also required. How easy it will be to get all these papers is hard to say. This usually takes several months.
Step 5
An easier way to make a cafe is to buy a franchise. Of course, it will not be entirely yours, a special cafe, it will be the next "Coffee House" or "Mu-Mu". But this method is easier, because when buying a franchise, you will receive equipment, established contacts with suppliers, a well-thought-out menu and, as a rule, documentation that is in order. In addition, the promoted brand will provide a fairly stable influx of customers.
