Instructions
Step 1
The target audience.
In order to advertise your product or service, decide on your target audience. Who do you expect to attract? Imagine a potential buyer in detail - what gender and age is he, what is his education and income level, what sources does he get information from, does he drive his own car or does he prefer public transport? You must not only identify your customer, but also understand how he feels, how he thinks, what is the main motive for him? Learn to anticipate his desires, predict opportunities. The more accurately you calculate your target audience, the less money you will spend on an advertising campaign, and the more its effectiveness will be.
Step 2
Communication channel.
Having found out who your target audience is, conduct monitoring - where do people get the information that encourages them to buy? Perhaps these are housewives who watch TV during the daytime, or business people, then it is better to choose the peak time - from 7 to 9 in the morning or from 19 to 23 in the evening. Maybe these are motorists listening to the radio on the road? Or young people reading product reviews on forums and websites? Maybe your target audience is family people who go to a large hypermarket for groceries once a week and take part in promotions with pleasure? Identify your channel of communication.
Step 3
Advertising content.
At all times, the main incentive for buying has been and remains interesting advertising content. If an advertisement is beautiful, unusual, interesting, it will promote itself. Whether it's a video on the Internet, a promotion on the street or at a retail outlet, discounts to increase customer loyalty. In addition, your product or service must be of really good quality. Suppose someone bought what you produce, he liked it, and he recommended it to 10 more to his friends, and 10 more to them. Or a person who runs a popular blog tried your product and was very pleased, he writes about it in his blog and, since for many of its readers he is an opinion leader, they also want to purchase a similar product.
Step 4
Defining goals.
Advertising is carried out not only for the purpose of increasing sales. Decide on your real goal - capturing market share, increasing sales, detaching yourself from competitors, introducing a new product to the market, seasonal sales. Never set more than one goal for one ad campaign. Depending on your goal, plan your company, offer additional services or benefits to distinguish yourself from competitors and gain customer confidence, arrange tastings and samplings, if you are introducing a new product to the market, play with the price, if you want to conquer the market, start sales earlier.
