Only a small proportion of products are not certified, while the rest undergo quality control at various levels, which means that you need to know and be able to go through the certification procedure.

Step 1
Certification is a form of confirmation of compliance of an object with the requirements of technical regulations and provisions of standards, which is carried out by a certification body.
Step 2
First, determine if the law requires certification for the product. Do it according to the Nomenclature of products subject to mandatory certification or declaration of conformity. It contains the "List of goods subject to mandatory certification", "List of products subject to mandatory declaration of conformity", "List of products for which a sanitary and epidemiological conclusion is required".
Step 3
To obtain this document, you need to follow a series of steps.
Step 4
Visit the certification body and get advice on how to complete the application. Then, in accordance with the instructions received, fill out an application.
Step 5
Submit the technical documentation for the certified products. In addition to the application itself, provide a sample of products and competently prepared technical documentation to the certification body. Next, pay for the certification work. The first stage has been completed.
Step 6
In the second step, the certification body will review your application. No later than two weeks later, the certification body will inform you of its decision on the procedure for conducting certification and its conditions. Then, product samples are taken for identification.
Step 7
After that, the products will undergo laboratory tests, and the laboratory will issue a test report.
Step 8
Next is the most enjoyable stage. The certification body decides to issue a certificate (or refuse certification). In case of a positive result, the certification body draws up a certificate and adds it to the State Register of the GOST RF Certification System.
