The place where the studio will be located should not be in a noisy part of the city. Better to choose a residential area, suburb, or even a nearby village.
It is desirable that the building be brick. You should not rent a room on high floors. The disadvantages are that there will be additional costs for sound insulation and grounding. The first floor or semi-basement is the best solution.
The next step is good grounding and electrical connections. It is advisable to completely replace the electrical wiring in the old room. Then - the purchase of the necessary equipment. In order to produce a quality product, it is better not to save on equipment. You will need: a mixing console or mixing console, multiple microphones on a stand, software, sound card, studio monitors, headphones. If you are not a professional, then when choosing, be sure to consult with one, otherwise you run the risk of acquiring not quite suitable equipment.
