The idea of opening a specialized store, which will sell a limited range of goods, is good because, as a rule, spacious premises are not required for its implementation. This means that the rental price will not be very high. At the same time, narrow specialization does not imply a narrow choice. Let it be a product of one name, but it can be presented more widely than in a regular store.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose the direction you want to pursue. Conduct marketing research, decide on the location where the store will be located. The possibilities here are very diverse - from elite alcohol, perfumery, natural cosmetics and curtains to tea, coffee and vegetables and fruits.
Step 2
Register a company. In most cases, it will be enough for you to register yourself as a private entrepreneur without forming a legal entity. In the event that products are sold in the store, you will need to issue a permit from the SES, as well as the fire safety service, and the state trade inspection. Sign a contract for the maintenance of cash registers and other commercial equipment that will be installed in the store. All this can take up to 2-3 months.
Step 3
Rent or buy out premises that, by their location, will be able to provide you with the necessary customer demand. Please note that it must have utility rooms, a warehouse, and a bathroom. Make the store premises pleasant for customers, think over its design taking into account the specifics of the product. There are no trifles here, and it will not be difficult to provide comfort in small rooms.
Step 4
Arrange the delivery of the goods. Do not be scattered about cooperation with a large number of suppliers. The narrow specialization of the store is so good that you can limit yourself to two or three reliable suppliers of quality goods. You can cooperate with a large number of suppliers for some time, but after a while you will stop at those in whom you are sure.
Step 5
Form an assortment taking into account the preferences of buyers. Track the products that are in greatest demand, ensure they are always available for sale. At the same time, it makes sense to organize presentations of new types of goods in a specialized store and introduce them to your customers. You should not occupy the shelves and space of the store with foreign goods, it should have its own "face".
Step 6
A friendly and knowledgeable staff can have a significant impact on a specialty store's revenue. Recruit those who love and want to work, conduct training. Sellers must thoroughly know all the goods and be able to present the entire assortment to the buyer, tell about the qualities and differences of each item presented.
