The simplicity of registration and the minimum of documents required in order to take a consumer loan gave rise to a real boom in such lending. Is consumer credit an unequivocal benefit for a person, or, on the contrary, is it a harmful whim that should be avoided in every possible way?

Consumer loan: a necessity or a whim

Over the past ten to fifteen years or so, the demand for consumer loans has been growing exponentially. Thousands of people have already appreciated all the conveniences of such lending - to pay part of the cost of the goods or not pay a penny at all at the checkout stage and take home the goods they like on the same day. Is consumer lending a blessing for people or is it a kind of trap into which the consumer society drives a person?

When is a consumer loan needed?

The convenience of a consumer loan is that the bank simply lends you money, without wondering how you will dispose of it. Unfortunately, not everyone can afford high-quality winter clothes, a new computer necessary for work, expensive medical services - for example, prosthetics - and summer vacations without borrowing.

Anything happens in life - a car may break down, a relative may get sick, or, on the contrary, you will have the opportunity for a third of the cost to go to the country in which you have always dreamed of visiting. If your savings are not enough, then you can always take a loan from the bank and gradually repay it with payments of such a size that will not be burdensome for your budget.

A consumer loan is irreplaceable if you decide to make repairs. When a certain amount is not enough to buy a house or land, then you can borrow money from a bank. In the case of buying real estate, this is generally quite reasonable. Over time, its price only grows, and even taking into account the payment of interest to the bank for using the loan, you will win.

Credit slavery, or captive to your desires

Currently, a stratum of people has already formed and is constantly growing, who are focused only on consumption. They strive to possess more and more new material values, and it is the buying process that gives them pleasure. When a thing so desired yesterday turns out to be the property of such a person, he instantly loses interest in it and “lights up” with something new.

In an effort to buy whatever they want, such people use consumer loans to buy a new model phone, another pair of shoes, a puppy of a fashionable breed and other things that are not at all essential. The joy of the purchase passes instantly, and the loan repayment is delayed for many months. As a result, such a person gives most of the income to the bank, which makes him feel unhappy.

The decision to apply for a loan should be approached carefully and not be guided by a momentary whim, and then you will not make rash spending, for which you will have to reproach yourself.
