Since the range of problems solved by consulting is very wide, determine the area of activity in which you want to work. In doing so, take into account the education received.

Start by putting together a one-day training seminar program. Indicate in it for whom the consulting services are intended, how the knowledge gained during the seminar will help increase profits or reduce client costs. Offer this program to several companies that provide training and workshops on short-term educational programs.
Step 3
Create a detailed resume for the leaders of these companies, indicating your education, achievements, personal qualities, and positive references.
Step 4
With a successfully drawn up program and an interesting resume, you will most likely be invited to one of the companies for a training or seminar. Choose a fixed fee per academic hour. Don't ask for a big payment right away. The "value" of such seminars for you is in the opportunity to find potential clients, and it depends only on your persuasiveness whether you will be invited to the position of a consulting consultant.
Step 5
For a successful individual consulting practice, work to improve your rating: publish several papers, present your experience at conferences, join professional associations. Advertise your services, including on the Internet. Create a personal website.
Step 6
Don't give up on project work. It will allow you to gain experience, establish contacts and connections with potential clients. Before you take part in the project, diagnose it: how profitable is it for you to work individually or because of the complexity of the task at hand, it is better to invite partners.
