Determination of the class of the enterprise is necessary to calculate the width of its sanitary protection zone, which is established depending on the hazardousness of production. The size of the sanitary protection zone can vary within the same class.
Instructions
Step 1
Check out the latest edition of SanPin and the requirements for the classification of enterprises depending on the hazardousness of production.
Step 2
Assess the level of hazardousness of production using the hazard ratio of all its components. It is calculated based on the gross mass of emissions of various substances, taking into account the values of their average daily maximum permissible concentration. Take the factor of the component that matters the most as a starting point.
Step 3
Select the hazard class of the enterprise (out of five) in accordance with this value. Determine the width of the sanitary protection zone, at the border of which the maximum permissible concentration of the substance with the highest hazard coefficient will not be exceeded. So, for example, if you find out that the class of the enterprise for which the calculation is made is the fifth, the width of this zone should not be less than 50 meters.
Step 4
Refine the calculations taking into account the following indicators: - the volume of emissions of each component; - the average daily maximum allowable concentration of each component; - the hazard indicator (HI), taking into account both the volume of emissions and the degree of toxicity of each component.
Step 5
Please note: the higher the total emissions and the degree of toxicity of substances, the more dangerous the production is considered, and it can be assigned a class with more stringent restrictions. These restrictions usually relate to the location of the enterprise in residential and natural areas, the work schedule of employees, the procedure for payments for hazardousness at work. With small errors in the initial calculations, only the radius of the sanitary protection zone can be increased, while the class of the enterprise remains the same.
Step 6
Re-equip the facility if necessary if the hazard ratings are too high for your area. When converting, take into account all the standards prescribed by SanPin.
